Abstract:
Chemistry education is very important for entrepreneurial skills development in students. This paper examines the central role of chemistry education as an instrument for a successful entrepreneurship programme in our institution. The paper discussed the importance of entrepreneurship programmes and chemistry education in Nigeria and suggested that chemistry education should be inculcated into entrepreneurship programme to help students acquire knowledge that will make them to be creators of job rather than job seekers after graduation. In view of this, it was recommended that chemistry education should be made compulsory for all students in secondary and tertiary institutions to strengthen entrepreneurship programme in our institutions.
