Abstract:
Abstract The corrosion inhibition of aluminum in alkaline medium was studied using experimental methods. Results obtained from the gravimetric method indicate that the extract is an excellent corrosion inhibitor. The adsorption of the inhibitor on the surface of aluminium is consistent with the Langmuir isotherm. Physical adsorption mechanism is proposed from the calculated thermodynamics parameters.
